Patty Panatou brings to her work a unique ideology that was developed early in her youth by her Greek parents who had nobly migrated here from Cyprus in the mid 50's and her label "Basilica" comes from the Greek word meaning "Queen". Patty's love for fashion was born in her and her career as a designer seemed destined from being a child when she first started to design her own clothes that were sewn by her mother's tailor.

Immediately after Ms Panatou completed her education fashion design, she was awarded "Gown Of The Year" in one of the most prestigious nation wide events in the bridal industry and years on, she has become one of the most celebrated couturieres and the recipient of numerous illustrious awards.

Ms Panatou's breathtaking designs have been courted by the elite of Sydney's socialites and she was commissioned to design the wedding gown for the daughter-in-law of the Australian Governor General. The designer's aspirations for creating this illustrious gown for our national royalty was "European Princess" of course.
